The Infusion Center at Howard County General Hospital treats patients who need special injections, infusions of drugs to treat auto-immune diseases, long-course IV antibiotic therapy, and transfusion of blood or platelets for chronic anemia and clotting problems due to cancer or other diseases. Appointments are also available for patients with implanted infusion ports who may need special blood draws or port care.
Located on the first floor of the Health Care and Surgery Center, The Infusion Center is staffed by two nurses skilled in managing IV infusions and is open Monday through Friday, with appointments available between 8am and 3pm. Appointments are scheduled to allow for the length of time needed to infuse the medication or blood product.
To schedule an appointment, please call your physician. If you have questions or need to speak directly to one of the nurses, please call 410-884-4949.
