The Howard County General Hospital Wellness Center offers hospital tours, educational programs and classes in childbirth preparation and parenting to prepare you for your baby’s arrival.  For new first-time parents, our Healthy Families Howard County Program offers additional support and resources including special discounts to participating families.

Our childbirth classes include Prenatal Class for Your Early Pregnancy, for parents-to-be in the first three months of pregnancy, and Prepared Childbirth, designed to prepare expectant couples for their labor and delivery.

The Birthing Center Tours offer expectant couples a preview of our maternity services.

We also offer parenting classes including Infant Care; Breastfeeding; Happiest Baby on the Block- a class that teaches you how to soothe a crying baby; and Adult, Child and Infant CPR.

For siblings, please consider enrolling your child(ren) in the "I’m Going to be a Big Brother/Sister Class" at the Howard County Library. For information, visit the Howard County Library website or call 410-313-7713.
