Radiography, or as it is most commonly known, x-ray, is the most common form of medical imaging. It is the easiest and fastest way to assess broken bones or injuries.
Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) at Howard County General Hospital captures, stores and distributes all radiology images electronically using the hospital computer network. Studies can be viewed on a computer screen, plain paper or traditional film. Since all information is stored electronically, PACS eliminates many of the problems associated with traditional film and reduces the turnaround time for patient studies.
