New Professional Staff Officers Named for 2012

Columbia, MD – Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine (HCGH) announces the following new Professional Staff Officers for 2012: Clarita G. Frazier, M.D., president; Nicholas W. Koutrelakos, M.D., vice-president and Mary A. Pieprzak, M.D., secretary/treasurer.
Dr. Frazier has been a member of the HCGH professional staff since 1995. She earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed an internship in internal medicine at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Dr. Frazier served her residency in anesthesiology at Tufts – New England Medicine Center and an obstetric anesthesiology fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is with Howard County Anesthesia Associates.
Dr. Koutrelakos joined the HCGH professional staff in 1989. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He served a fellowship in oncology and hematology at the Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Koutrelakos is with Maryland Oncology and Hematology P.A.
Dr. Pieprzak joined the HCGH professional staff in 1996. She received her medical degree from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Connecticut Health Center and served as chief resident from July 1992 to June 1993. She served fellowships in hypertension and nephrology at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Pieprzak is with Mid-Atlantic Nephrology Associates, P.A.
