The Symphony of Lights’ “Hidden Word/Phrase” Contest is a popular feature of the dazzling holiday light display in Columbia, Maryland. The contest challenges those driving through the display to find and unscramble a series of lit-up letters, which make up the year’s “Hidden Word.” They may then submit the word in a drawing for a chance to win exciting prizes. This year’s winner will receive:
Four tickets to Cirque Dreams - Jungle Fantasy at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Hippodrome Theatre on January 22, 2008; Courtesy of the Baltimore Sun
Four hours of limousine service from All Stretched Out Limousine Service
$250 Gift Certificate to the Crab Shanty Restaurant in Ellicott City
Attendees of the 14th Annual Symphony of Lights have the added advantage of “Hidden Word” Contest clues. These half dozen or so clues are featured in the event program and on the LED screens located in the display. The clues are generating a lot of interest, and contest entry forms are filling the mailbox at the Howard Hospital Foundation, the organization that puts on the Symphony of Lights to benefit Maternal Child Services at Howard County General Hospital: A Member of Johns Hopkins Medicine.
