Additional Benefits

The hospital offers the following supplemental benefits with the convenience of payroll deduction: auto; homeowners, renters and other property and liability insurance through MetLife; long term care insurance through Unum; and critical illness, accident, life and cancer insurance through Aflac.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The EAP (administered by Business Health Services, BHS) provides employees and their immediate household members (available to children in college) with free confidential assistance to help with family, personal, and work-related problems. The EAP offers short-term counseling services, resources and other problem-solving solutions to employees in need. In addition to counseling services, Business Health Services provide employees with Legal and Financial Services. Employees and their immediate household members can speak with an attorney by phone or in person for up to one-half hour per person, per problem episode, per year.

Discount on Wellness Programs

Through its Wellness Center, the hospital offers a variety of courses to the community. Employees receive a discount on these programs.

  • Daily 10 percent cafeteria discount. Dietary employees scheduled and working at least an eight-hour shift receive a food allowance of up to four dollars and fifty cents (4.50) per day toward the purchase of food in the Hospital cafeteria.
