HLA Typing
HLA typing refers to the indentification of HLA antigens present on most cells.These antigens play an integral part in the control of the immune response and thus are important in transplantation and the study of the immune system.
Methods:
Class I typing by serology
Class I typing by molecular methods:
               SSP
               Sequence Based Typing (SBT)
Class II typing by molecular methods:
               Intermediate Resolution: SSO and SSP
               High Resolution: SBT
