In keeping with the overall mission to train, inspire and mentor outstanding hematologists, the Division of Hematology is introducing a summer lecture series for trainees to address core content relevant to hematology consultation and practice.
Under the direct leadership of Dr. Alison Moliterno, a series of lectures has been designed to increase knowledge of hematology and related specialties including blood banking and clinical pathology. The course will emphasize not only basic pathophysiology, but also practical operational issues with regard to clinics, ward and hospital consultation practices and even board review. The course material is targeted to fellows at every stage of their training and affords them an opportunity to get more quickly acquainted with faculty and their clinical and research expertise.
The six week course extends over July and August and is planned as a Monday, Wednesday, Friday noon series.
