HEIC Policies

The Johns Hopkins Hospital Epidemiology and Infection Control Department (JHH-HEIC), with the help of many other departments, has developed infection prevention and control policies,  procedures and strategies to meet the needs of this large tertiary care hospital, our unique and complicated patient population and the regulatory requirements in the state of Maryland. JHH serves a diverse, and sometimes severely ill, patient population. Some policies are uniquely tailored to the prevalence and incidence of specific diseases in our community and may not be applicable to all settings. Therefore, JHH-HEIC takes no responsibility for the use of these policies; the policies are for reference purposes alone.
