Synopsis:

As of 5/2/2008, the 2007-2008 respiratory virus season at JHH is over. This is the final report for the season.

282 patients were seen at JHH with RSV this season. 236 (83.7%) of these were pediatric patients; 46 (16.3%) were adults.

Of these patients, 186 were admitted. 150 of these (80.6%) were pediatric patients; 36 (19.4%) were adults.

This season, we began seeing cases about one month earlier than we did last season and peaked slightly earlier. We saw more cases at at and leading up to peak this season than we did last season. This season otherwise followed a trend similar to last season.
