Lardo Lab

The Lardo lab is involved the development of high resolution MRI and CT imaging methods for assessment of myocardial pathophysiology and delivery of cardiovascular therapies.

Dr. Lardo's laboratory has developed a number of novel methods for cardiac computed tomography applications including imaging myocardial viability and perfusion.

These methods have been successfully translated into clinical use and now are undergoing testing in large multicenter trials. MRI developments include novel methods to assess myocardial dyssynchrony and assess response to bi-ventricular pacing therapy and the development of MRI analysis techniques to phenotype cardiac stem cell therapy.
