Aortic Valve Operative Outcomes in Marfan Patients

Summary of Trial: 

The purpose of this protocol is to evaluate and compare operative outcomes of the aortic valve-sparing (AVS) and aortic valve replacement (AVR) surgical interventions in different categories of patients with Marfan syndrome and estimate the predictors of the surgical outcomes.

Inclusions: 

Has a confirmed diagnosis of Marfan syndrome
Adult and pediatric patients under the age of 65 with Marfan syndrome
Needs to undergo aortic valve operation as confirmed by operating surgeon

Exclusions: 

Unable to sign consent form

This is a multi-center study – there are 20 additional sites across the U.S. and internationally that are participating in this clinical trial.
