Director of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Director of Prenatal Genetics, Dr. Blakemore’s research interests lie in maternal-fetal complications of pregnancy.  These encompass genetic disorders in the fetus, fetal imaging, fetal therapy including in utero bone marrow transplantation, hemoglobinopathies e.g.sickle cell disease in pregnancy, red cell and platelet alloimmunization, placental development and abnormalities, and intrapartum physiology and outcomes.
