Anita Shulman, CNM, became a Midwife in Jerusalem, Israel at Hadassah Hospital in 1981. While there, she delivered 2500 babies. Anita became recertified in the United States at Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in 1989. She came to Johns Hopkins in her current role 10 years ago. Anita is responsible for assessing and triaging patients on Labor & Delivery, performing newborn circumcisions, and participating in resident education. Anita also performs deliveries when she gets the opportunity and gets great enjoyment from doing so. She feels that it is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Johns Hopkins Obstretrical staff.
