Our doctors’ approach to chemotherapy makes the Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service a nationally recognized treatment center for cancers of the female reproductive tract.
Excellence in chemotherapy treatment
- Each patient is assigned a nurse liaison, known as an advocate patient navigator, to make this stage of treatment a smooth transition for both the patient and her family. This patient navigator is responsible for answering all questions and concerns, coordinating appointments and managing patients’ needs at this stage of treatment.
- A team of dedicated chemotherapy nurses are assigned to this stage of treatment
- Each patient is assigned to a specific infusion chemotherapy nurse who attends to them during the entire process
