General Subscription Instructions
Subscriptions to mailing lists can be managed through the following website: http://lists.johnshopkins.edu. Alternatively, you can use the following email-based method for managing your subscriptions.
To subscribe to a mailing list, send an email to sympa@lists.johnshopkins.edu In the subject of the message, write: SUBSCRIBE LISTNAME where LISTNAME is the name of the list you wish to subscribe to (i.e. allgrad, reagents-allgrad, events-allgrad, grad-housing).
To unsubscribe to a mailing list, do the same, except write: UNSUBSCRIBE LISTNAME where LISTNAME is the name of the list you wish to subscribe to (i.e. allgrad, reagents-allgrad, events-allgrad, grad-housing).
To configure your subscription to combine all messages into a single message on a daily basis, do the same, except write: SET LISTNAME DIGEST where LISTNAME is the name of the list you wish to subscribe to (i.e. allgrad, reagents-allgrad, events-allgrad, grad-housing).
To send an email to a mailing list, send an email to LISTNAME@lists.johnshopkins.edu where LISTNAME is the name of the list you wish to subscribe to (i.e. allgrad, reagents-allgrad, events-allgrad, grad-housing).
NOTE: All messages will be reviewed before being forwarded to list subscribers.
Current guidelines for approval for lists
Messages should be Hopkins-related, e.g., GSA events, PDO events, talk announcements, etc.
The topic should be of interest to SOM graduate students
Messages that will not be approved include any relating to classified advertisements (buying/selling car, bed, etc.), advertisements for events not related to Hopkins, political arguments/discussions, and other spam.
