GIM Hospitalist Padmini Ranasinghe, MD, MPH, has begun a term as Alternate Delegate to the American Medical Association’s House of Delegates, representing the International Medical Graduates (IMG) Section. She recently served as Chair of the AMA-IMG Leadership Development Committee represented the AMA-IMG Section at the Joint AMA Sections and Special Groups Caucus.
Dr. Ranasinghe attended medical school at University of Colombo in Sri Lanka. She was the recipient of the 2006 AMA Foundation Leadership Award in the Young Physician category. She is also active in the Med Chi (Maryland State Medical Association).
