Traveling for Care?
Whether you're crossing the country or the globe, we make it easy to access world-class care at Johns Hopkins.
GIM Assistant Professor Mark Hughes, MD, MA, has been named Co-Chair of the Johns Hospital Ethics Committee and Consultation Service (EC). His term will begin on January 1, 2014. Dr. Hughes is a core faculty member in the Berman Institute of Bioethics. He has been an active member of the Ethics Committee since 1998 and has served as Chair of the EC’s Executive Subcommittee on Ethics Consultation Procedure since 1999.
The Johns Hopkins Hospital Office of Medical Affairs states that Dr. Hughes’s “outstanding work in leading ethics consultations, developing and revising institutional policies related to ethics, and educating new committee members have made him a natural choice for Co-Chair of this important Committee.” Dr. Hughes will take the place of Professor of Urology Dr. Jacek Mostwin in co-chairing the committee along with Dr. Cynda Rushton of the School of Nursing.
Congratulations, Dr. Hughes!
