The end to the academic year means saying goodbye to GIM Fellows. This year four Fellows are completing their programs and have big plans for their next steps.
Both Dr. Kimberly Gudzune and Dr. Anne Monroe will be staying on in GIM as new faculty members. Dr. Gudzune will continue her research on obesity and communication factors, and Dr. Monroe will be conducting further research on HIV/AIDS.
Dr. Kimberly Martin will also not be far away. She is beginning another post-doctoral fellowship at Hopkins, this time in Pediatrics, the area where her research has concentrated.
Finally, Dr. Salman Waheed has already left campus to begin a one-year cardiac imaging fellowship at St. Francis Hospital on Long Island, NY, a hospital affiliated with Stony Brook University.
GIM wishes them a fond farewell and all the best in their next endeavors!
