The GIM Division was recognized with a variety of honors at the School of Medicine's Graduation ceremonies last Thursday, May 24, 2012.
Professor David M. Levine, MD, ScD, MPH, was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. AOA's stated goals are recognizing high educational achievement, honoring gifted teaching, encouraging the development of leaders in academia and the community, supporting the ideals of humanism and promoting service to others. Dr. Levine certainly embodies all the ideals of the Society.
GIM Associate Professor Jospeh Cofrancesco, Jr., MD, was chosen to receive the Professors' Award for Teaching Excellence in the Clinical Sciences.
GIM Assistant Professor Lenny Feldman, MD, was chosen by the medical students as one of two "Hooders" of the medical graduates. In addition, Dr. Feldman was chosen by the Osler Medical Residents to receive a coveted Osler Tie.
All of GIM joins Dr. Weisfeldt in congratulating all these faculty members for their high honors and recognition!
