GIM’s Associate Professor Joseph Cofrancesco, Jr., MD, MPH, FACP, has been notified by Dean Edward Miller that he is the 2012 winner of the School of Medicine’s Professors' Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Basic and Clinical Sciences. The award is granted to a faculty member “whose teaching is judged to have had a profound effect on students in the School of Medicine.” Dr. Cofrancesco is the inaugural director of the Institute for Excellence in Education in the School of Medicine. He is acknowledged to be “one of Hopkins' most respected educators and clinicians.”
