GIM Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Sarah Clever, MD, MS, FACP, has been chosen by the Association of American Medical Colleges Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) Patient Care Project Advisory Committee to serve on their LGBTI Liaison Group. Dr. Clever was recognized as “clearly committed to improving the training of the physician workforce to better serve the health and wellness needs of the LGBTI population.”
In a letter to Dr. Clever, the AAMC’s Chief Diversity Officer cited Dr. Clever’s “impressive expertise” as an ideal qualification to serve as Liaison to the Patient Care Project Advisory Committee in developing their curriculum collection and in providing content and policy expertise to the Committee.
Kudos to Dr. Clever on her ground-breaking work on LGBTI concerns in medicine!
