GIM part-time faculty member Gene E. Green, MD, has been appointed president of Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. He will succeed Brian Gragnolati, who will now transition full time into his role of senior vice president for the Johns Hopkins Health System, where he oversees the Community Division, which includes Suburban, Sibley Memorial and Howard County General hospitals. Dr. Green currently serves as vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians, a 400-provider, multi-specialty group practice with 37 sites throughout Maryland and the Washington, DC, area.
