Dr. Beach Awarded NHLBI Grant

GIM associate professor Mary Catherine Beach, MD, MHS, has been awarded a grant from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. The grant was issued under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The title of Dr. Beach’s project is “Respect, Trust, and Patient Outcomes in Sickle Cell Disease.” The grant will fund Dr. Beach’s research of this topic for the next two years.
