Dr. Madhav Goyal Wins SGIM Founders Award

Dr. GoyalFormer GIM Fellow and new GIM assistant professor Madhav Goyal, MD, MPH has won the third Annual SGIM Founders Award for his research on “Intensive Meditation among Patients with Migraine: A Randomized Controlled Trial.”  The SGIM Founders Award is granted “to provide support to junior investigators who exhibit significant potential for a successful research career.” 

The Award letter states that the selection committee “was impressed with the potential for change demonstrated through [Dr. Goyal’s] proposed research and feels confident [he has] a high chance of completing the study.” They expect that Dr. Goyal’s research “will influence the quality of patient care for the better.”
