GIM faculty member Ebony Boulware, MD, MPH, has been promoted to the rank of Associate Professor. In addition to her primary appointment in GIM, she holds a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology in the JHSPH, and is a core faculty member in the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology and Clinical Research. Dr. Boulware's promotion was based on her achievements as a Clinician Investigator with expertise in clinical epidemiology, evidence-based medicine, and health services research. Her work on organ transplantation and health disparities has influenced a national audience far beyond the field of internal medicine, including surgeons and policy makers. |
|
Her current research activities focus on identifying patient and physician barriers to the receipt of guideline-concordant care for patients with chronic kidney disease, identifying patient, physician, and population factors affecting the receipt of kidney transplantation, and race and gender differences in attitudes toward organ donation. Congratulations, Dr. Boulware!
