Dr. Neil Powe Receives "Champion of Hope" Award

On November 22, 2008, GIM faculty member and Welch Center Director Dr. Neil Powe was granted the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland’s “Champion of Hope” award in recognition of his contributions to the care of patients with kidney disease. The award was presented at the Foundation’s 23rd annual Gift of Life Gala and fundraiser. Dr. Powe was introduced that evening by fellow GIM faculty member Dr. Ebony Boulware.
