GIM is happy to welcome its newest joint faculty member, Gregory Diette, MD, MHS, whose primary appointment is in the Pulmonary Medicine. He also holds a joint appointment in the Department of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health. Dr. Diette’s research focuses on the epidemiology of lung diseases and also on quality assurance and outcomes. He is working at present on a project on the genetics of asthma. Recently he served as the senior investigator on a study whose results were published in the July 2008 issue of Pediatrics under the title “Patient Factors Used by Pediatricians to Assign Asthma Treatment.” Dr. Diette also holds an appointment in the Johns Hopkins Center for Global Health. Dr. Diette has already mentored one GIM Fellow, Dr. Emily Tonorezos, and we hope to see the connection flourish in future.
Welcome to GIM, Dr. Diette!
