Dr. Segal Named Deputy Editor of JGIM

Dr. Segal Named Deputy Editor of JGIM

Congratulations to the Division's Dr. Jodi Segal, who has been named a Deputy Editor for the Journal of General Internal Medicine (JGIM). At JGIM, deputy editors evaluate manuscripts, and make decisions to reject, accept, or ask the authors to revise the manuscripts. Deputy editors also select the reviewers for the manuscripts, and highlight important areas of the reviews that should be addressed for manuscripts invited for resubmission. Deputy editorships are awarded to mid-level faculty who have interest or expertise in one or more of the following categories: medical education, health services research, systematic reviews/meta-analysis, qualitative research, geriatrics, HIV/AIDS, and substance abuse.
