Dr. Auwaerter Named Clinical Director of Division of Infectious Diseases
Hopkins GIM congratulates Dr. Paul G. Auwaerter on his appointment as the Clinical Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases. Dr. Auwaerter will retain a joint appointment in the Division of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Auwaerter serves as the Chief Medical Officer of the Johns Hopkins Point of Care-Information Technology (POC-IT) Center, responsible for producing the Johns Hopkins ABX (Antibiotic) and Johns Hopkins HIV Guides. His research interests include Lyme disease and respiratory tract infections.
For his outstanding patient care, teaching, and administrative contributions, Dr. Auwaerter is already widely recognized as an institutional leader in clinical infectious diseases. Dr. David L.
