GIM part-time faculty member Dr. William S. Queale, along with a journalist who is his patient, authored an op-ed piece published in the Baltimore Sun on September 27th about the national crisis in primary care. Queale writes that none of the legislative proposals to reform healthcare will succeed without addressing the reimbursement structure that has lead to an exodus of doctors from the practice of general internal medicine, pediatrics and family medicine.
