AHRQ Training Grants amd K Awards Available

Several training grant opportunities for students, fellows, and junior faculty members have been pointed out by Professor Jonathan Weiner, DrPH, Director of the Health Services Research and Policy PhD Program at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Weiner reports that recently the grantors have not received many applications for these awards, and in some cases a very high percentage of applicants have been funded. 

Below are a number of AHRQ training grants and K awards now available:

Pre-doctoral:

Health Services Research Dissertation Awards (R36)
Dissertation Grants for doctoral candidates

Fellowship Awards to Promote Diversity in Health Related Research (F31) 
Designed to enhance diversity in the health services research sciences

Post-doctoral:

Individual Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards (F32)   
Available to applicants who have completed their clinical or research doctoral degree

Career Development:

Mentored Research Scientist Development Awards (K01)  

Independent Scientist Awards (K02)   
Career development support for promising new investigators

Mentored Clinical Scientist Development Awards (K08)
