GIM Faculty Member named to Council Chair
GIM faculty member Dr. Felicia Hill-Briggs has been named Chair of the Council on Behavioral Medicine and Psychology of the American Diabetes Association. Dr. Hill-Briggs' term as Chair began in August 2007.
The aims of the Council are to stimulate research on the behavioral and psychological aspects of diabetes and its treatment, to promote the psychological well-being of patients with diabetes and help them achieve optimum metabolic control, to train health care professionals regarding the behavioral and psychosocial aspects of this disease, and to increase recognition of the importance of the behavioral and psychological aspects of diabetes.
