NIH Error Window

NIH Narrows "Error Correction Window"

The National Institutes of Health announced on November 30, 2007 that it will reduce the "error correction window," that is, the time allowed after a grant submission deadline to address NIH system-identified errors or warnings. The "window" will shrink from five business days to two business days for all electronically submitted grant applications with submission deadlines on or after January 8, 2008.

The full text of the announcement, Notice NOT-OD-08-018, including a summary of the electronic application process can be found on the NIH website.
