Hopkins GIM Fellowship Alumna Named Healthcare Innovator
Health Leaders Media Magazine has named GIM Fellowship alumna Eboni Price, MD, MPH, one of “20 People Who Make Healthcare Better” whom they profiled in their November 2007 issue. The magazine singled out these innovators for recognition as “examples of dedication, creativity and vision in an industry of conflicting agendas and constant change.”
Dr. Price was recognized by the magazine for her initiative and leadership in delivering basic healthcare in a makeshift clinic in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and then for developing the clinic into a home for continuing community health services. Dr. Price is the associate program director of ambulatory training in Tulane University Health Sciences Center's internal medicine residency training program and serves as the medical director at Covenant House.
