Research Interests:
- My major research interests focus on multisystem physiologic risk factors and associated threshold relationships for the development of frailty in older adults. Other areas of interests include developing tools for medical decision making that are more relevant and appropriate for geriatric population, and translation of research findings into improved design of interventions, in terms of choice, timing, and duration of intervention, to lead to compression of morbidity. Current research activities include characterization of trajectories of change in biomarkers over time; determining the effect of competing mortality on the association between physiologic dysregulations and the development of frailty.
