Joint Training

Johns Hopkins/Gerontology Research Center, NIA, NIH Joint Research and Clinical Fellows

Collaborative training opportunities with the NIA Intramural Research Program exist for physicians particularly interested in basic and clinical research careers.  The NIA Intramural Research Program is located on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center campus. A qualified applicant could be accepted into an NIH-funded position which also includes up to $20,000 per year (plus income tax supplement) to help pay student loans (up to three years of support is available in this regard).  Potential applicants would be accepted into a position to work in a specific laboratory or a clinical-research venue within the NIA Intramural Research Program.  Clinical training could be achieved in a single year supported by the Johns Hopkins University.

If you are interested in this fellowship, contact Dr. Darrel Abernethy in the GRC NIA Laborartory of Clinical Investigation
