This program is a two-year experience designed to train future leaders in the care of older adults through the generosity of Erickson Corporation. Erickson is a national leader in Continuing Care Retirement Communities with a deep committment to education and research. The first year of this program offers 12-months of ACGME-accredited clinical training that includes both longitudinal and block rotations at both Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and Erickson's Oak Crest Retirement Village. This geriatric medicine training program prepares the candidate for the ABIM Specialty Board in Geriatric Medicine or the Certificate of Added Qualification offered by the ABFM. In year two, the program offers additional training in curriculum development, teaching skills, medical director leadership skills, and the business of medicine Certificate program through, the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
