This program is for physicians who desire to begin training after the second year of internal medicine residency. This initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine is for individuals interested in a career in academic geriatric medicine that are committed to carrying out a research program. (The American Board of Internal Medicine must approve a candidate’s research plan, and the individual must complete three years of fellowship training.)
