Education and Training

The goal of the Johns Hopkins Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology, based in Baltimore, Maryland, is to ensure that the quality of care for older adults continues to improve. That’s why our education and training programs span the depth and breadth of clinical and research activities of our acclaimed faculty. Whether you are a student, house officer, faculty member, or health care provider, the Division offers an educational program that is likely to interest you.

Opportunities include:

  • Clinical experiences with expert geriatricians and health care teams practicing in the full continuum of clinical services for older adults
  • Research experiences with scientists using the latest advances in molecular biology, clinical outcomes, epidemiology, population-based research, and health services research.
  • Educational experiences for those moving into the teaching fields

Welcoming diversity

We welcome a diverse group of medical professionals, from Maryland and from around the world, nurses and doctors as well as scientists and educators, students and mid-career professionals. We believe that the medical field is strengthened by diversity of all types.
