Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology

The mission of the Johns Hopkins University Department of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology is to provide the highest quality clinical care to improve the health of older adults and society by creating, translating, and disseminating knowledge through education and research.

We welcome patients, medical professionals, clinicians, researchers, and students from all types of backgrounds. Some come to us from around the corner and others from around the world. What our patients and staff bring us in diversity expands our ability to serve aging adults and their families.

This website explains in detail what we do and how we do it, for older adults needing services, their family members, clinicians, researchers, educators, and medical staff.
