We are excited to announce that in 2012 we matched highly qualified applicants into a new and innovative collaborative residency program, between The Johns Hopkins University and the National Institutes of Health. These two residency programs have joined forces to provide a unique opportunity to trainees by sharing educational/clinical/research resources that will not only markedly enhance a clinician scientist’s ability and skills but will also prepare trainees for the ongoing challenges and rapid advancements in the field of genetic/genomic medicine. The medical genetics residency programs at the Johns Hopkins Institute of Genetic Medicine and The National Institutes of Health are fortunate to count on the active participation of many world-renowned faculty members, researchers and genetic counselors, all committed to the genetic education of physician scientists. Residents will graduate from this program with the skills to become leaders in the field of genetic medicine, significantly contributing to the development of our knowledge of genetic diseases and their treatment. . |
