Barton Childs Lectureship Fund

Barton Childs, MD

For the past 9 years a committee of Human Genetics Predoctoral students, have annually selected and invited prominent researchers to give a lecture at Johns Hopkins University in honor of Dr. Barton Childs. Recent lecturers include Charles Scriver and nobel prize winner, Oliver Smithes. This honor will continue and take on new significance in the years to come with the recent passing of Dr. Childs, 18 Feb 2010.

The proceeds from the Barton Childs Lectureship fund will support the lecturers’ travel and accommodations as well as make possible a reception after the lecture and allow the Predoctoral students to host the lecturer at a dinner.
