LPA Convention July 2007 Seattle, WA

Dee Miller Senior Program Clinical Coordinator Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias A Note from the Clinical Director: At the 2007 Little People of America Convention held in Seattle last week, our own Dee Miller, Senior Clinical Program Coordinator of the Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias, was named the first recipient of the LPA Anna Dixon Award. This award was created by the LPA Executive Board to honor Ms. Anna Dixon, a founding member of the organization. Ms. Dixon was a tireless advocate for the LP Community and instrumental in boosting membership to the LPA in its early years. Much like Ms. Dixon, Dee Miller has been and continues to be an active member of the LPA. Dee has served as an officer at the national and local level, and currently holds the position of liason to the Medical Advisory Board of the LPA. Here at Johns Hopkins, Dee demonstrates compassion, enthusiasm and accuracy everyday as she fields literally hundreds of questions from LPs, their families and care providers every week. Thank you, Dee, and congratulations. We are very proud of you and your award. Sincerely, Julie Hoover-Fong, M.D., Ph.D Clinical Director, Greenberg Center for Skeletal Dysplasias McKusick-Nathans Institute of Genetic Medicine
