The Johns Hopkins Facial Paralysis & Pain Treatment Center was formed in 2007 to create a multi-disciplinary approach to treating patients with facial paralysis and chronic facial pain. Designed as a comprehensive treatment center for these patients, our team combines the talents and expertise of:
- Plastic surgeons, adult and pediatric
- Facial pain experts
- Craniofacial surgeons
- Rehabilitation therapists specially trained in facial paralysis
Our experts consult with each other often, are leaders in their field and conduct research in the treatment of facial paralysis and chronic facial pain.
Patients come to our Center from all over the United States, and are often seeking second opinions about their conditions. Our patients are all ages and suffer from facial paralysis due to trauma, illness, surgery, strokes or congenital conditions. We also treat chronic facial pain patients and are on the forefront of new methods in treating these devastating conditions.
