Executive Committee

Epic implementation at Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) is overseen by the Epic Program Executive Committee, headed by Bill Baumgartner. Through this important work, Johns Hopkins Medicine is transforming its health care delivery system into an integrated, seamless and patient-focused enterprise.

The leadership of the committee, along with more than 1000 members of the JHM enterprise, was involved in a two-year strategic review of the existing information systems. After thorough analysis, they determined that Epic was the optimal solution for Johns Hopkins Medicine to accomplish clinical integration.

The committee has oversight of the project management office, which heads the implementation, and receives input from the many workgroups and business owners involved in the project across all the facilities and environments of care.

Weekly project reports are produced with input from Epic project managers. See the most recent weekly status report available.
