Center for Health Policy and Outcomes Research

This center was established in 1998 and was initially funded by the Emergency Medicine Foundation. The goals of this national program are to advance the science of outcomes research, to train a corps of researchers, and to establish a reputation for excellence in medical effectiveness and outcomes research in emergency medicine. Ultimately, the center plans to be self-supporting and to become a research institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
