The Department of Emergency Medicine has formed a partnership with the Department of International Health in the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health to create the Center for Refugee and Disaster Response, a leading research and training center for the response to disasters and complex humanitarian emergencies.

| Description: | The medical education fellowship is a focused year of training in the fundamental elements of resident and undergraduate medical student administration and education. The three main areas include: 1. Residency administration/education. 2. Undergraduate medical student administration/education. 3. Simulation. Focus can vary based on interest and can include the following elements: 1. Understanding RRC and ACGME guidelines for residency. 2. Understanding national guidelines. 3. Learning about evaluation methods for each of the six core competency areas. 4. Providing effective feedback. 5. Understanding adult educational theory and learn and practice various methods of education. 6. Required component: research, design and implement a curriculum advance into a part of a departmental educational program. |
