The Center is planning to employ an academic fellow who will contribute to the Center’s mission through research, teaching, and organization. The fellowship position will be geared towards individuals interested in legal and medical academy.
The Center will train the fellow and provide support for the individual as they seek a tenure-track (or equivalent) job.
The Center will also offer courses on healthcare law to law students. The topic will range from bioethics to healthcare financing, to health system regulations. The Center’s faculty will take an active role in developing a full-fledged healthcare law curriculum.
Finally, the Center will hold lectures for medical students, residents, and physicians to educate them on legal issues affecting the delivery of care. This will be done as part of the medical training at Johns Hopkins as well as part of continuing medical education curriculum.
The center has core and affiliate faculty who assist with the direction of our academic training
