Fresh Idea Hundreds of employees and community residents flock to the new Farmers Market, brainchild of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Green Team. Every Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market—located on the pathway adjacent to JHH’s Outpatient Center—offers a variety of produce, including seasonal fruits and vegetables, beef, poultry, cheeses, baked goods, coffees and fresh-cut flowers. On a recent Thursday, visitors purchased 200 quarts of strawberries within an hour and a half from vendor Libby Longendorf. Shown here, Lauree Barreca, from the hospital’s legal department, stopped by Longendorf’s stand to buy flowers.
